Group Funeral Expense Insurance
The purpose of this insurance is to provide the agreed funeral services within the territory of the Republic of Costa Rica through the Network of Authorized Funeral Service Providers.
Funeral services provided include
Preparation, dressing, and body make-up services
| Standard linear-cut wooden casket or coffin or cinerary urn |
| Burial or cremation procedures |
| Three floral arrangements for decoration |
| Funeral rooms for up to 24 hours |
| Burial space rental for up to five (5) years (subject to availability) |
| Nationwide ground transportation |
| Repatriation of corpse |

| Available for policyholders and family members |
| Group of three, five, and seven insureds (G3, G5 y G7) – G3: Includes main insured (policyholder) and two dependents. | If the policyholder is older than 64 years old, an additional USD $1.90 x month must be added. |

| Eligible for inclusion in the group of insureds: children older than 1 year of age, parents of policyholders (only in G7) |
| Waiting time: 90 calendar days for death by natural cause |
| Relatives up to the fourth degree of consanguinity |

| Does not operate by reimbursement, only funeral service. |
| Coverage will cease upon death of the policyholder |
Main exclusions
| Suicide within the first two years of obtaining the policy |
| Acts of war, invasion, acts of terrorism |
| Natural disasters: floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, etc. |
| Pre-existing diseases prior to obtaining the policy |
